1) All divers must register before starting competition.
2) All divers are responsible for a fishing license, park pass, camping fees, and MUC membership for insurance purposes
3) Spears must comply with Manitoba fishing regulations
4) ONE SPEAR PER TEAM. THIS IS FOR SAFETY REASONS
5) All fish must be alive when speared
6) All teams must have a dive flag
7) All boats must have a driver and/or visible dive flag
8) General meeting of all divers at 10:00 AM, August 7th, 2010
9) Total number of dives per team is four (4) , two August 7th, two August
8th.
10) Divers are not to commence fishing before 11:00 AM, August 8th.
Scale closes 6:30 PM
11) Dive will commence 8:00 AM August 8th.
12) Final dive August 8th, Sunday to be completed by 2:30 PM.
Scale closes 2:30 PM
13) Divers must report directly to check in point before going out
on a dive and on completion of a dive, whether they have fish or not.
If not adhered to
..at the discretion of the dive master and dive
committee, forfeiture of points from previous dives may be applied.
This is for safety reasons.
14) Each team of divers must dive and surface at the same time
i.e.
within one minute of each other.
15) Tanks to be refilled at dive event compressor. Any diver having
less than 500 lbs of air left in the tank at the compressor site may
be disqualified and removed from the competition at the discretion of
the dive master and dive committee.
16) Maximum size of tank per dive is to be 100cf or derivative of 100cf
17) Teams scores one point per lb of fish caught on each dive plus
one point for each fish (i.e. 1 fish @ 6lbs = 7 points)
18) A supper will be held on August 7th at 7:00 PM
19) Trophies and prizes will be awarded at 3:15 PM on Sunday, August 8th.
20) Trophy for diver catching the largest fish by weight
21) Trophy for team obtaining most points
22) Trophy for diver catching most fish by number
23) Trophy for most improved diver spear fisherman
24) Trophy for wild card weight the first fish at the scale
weighing 3.37lbs or closest to it.
